Cacao Nibs?

Cacao Nibs?

What are Cacao Nibs you ask? They are nature's original chocolate chips. When a cocoa bean is harvested it is first ground down into these nibs which are slightly smaller than chocolate chips. Nibs are then further ground down to create a fine powder which sugar, cacao butter and other flavors is added to. While the nibs may be sugar free...they make up that goodness in their rich taste. Some big advantages to cacao nibs compared to their sugary friends is that these chunks are organic, vegan and gluten free. They are also a rich source of antioxidants, iron and magnesium.

Ideas for Use:

  • Add them to yogurt
  • Mix in with cereal
  • Make a chocolate trail mix
  • Sprinkle on ice cream
  • Substitute them for chocolate chips in baking
  • Grind and use as cocoa powder for drinks, baking or smoothies.

You can find a 16oz bag here.
