Partner Profile: Dignity Designs

Dignity Designs (through their parent organization Heshima) is one of Vineworks partners in Kenya that seeks to "provide a holistic environment that includes physical, mental and spiritual support for children with special needs."

Heisma operates a school for children with specials needs to attend that provides therapy and learning for the students. During the day while the students are at Heishma, the moms come next door to the Dignity Design workshop and and create the beautiful products that we are able to feature on Vineworks. All of their products are made from African materials including jewelry from West African trade beads, cow bone beads, recycled brass beads, and ostrich egg shell beads. All of their textile products are made with bright and bold African fabric. Through the sales of Vineworks and other partners each mother receives a monthly salary that pays for health care for both herself and her child.

Dignity Designs is a place where these mothers feel love, security, and dignity. Ultimately at Vineworks we are in the business of changing lives and Dignity Designs is a great example of this.
