This intricate star tree topper is made from a reclaimed 55 gallon steel drum in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti. As an island nation, Haiti has historically imported most of it's oil in 55 gallon drums. For the past 50 or more years, metal workers have been up-cycling and recycling these drums into beautiful art. Artisans first cut the star shape out of the drum and then round the bottom of the topper to fit perfectly onto any tree. Purchasing this item provides an artisan job in the poorest country of the Western Hemisphere.
